If all the sales are ~20% off, then no thanks.

If I can't use the stupid tonic in explorables, I'll be quite disappointed. At least my 6th year mini would have followed me around!

You also have to note that fewer people will be deleting their own characters. If more minis aren't added later on as birthday gifts, the prices of existing years will go up in price and be a bigger problem to obtain. I don't care if they recycle the presents, but they have an economic spot to fill.

The number of newer characters go up (ie, 3 years and younger) which will add in 4th and 5th year presents.
Players also will be leaving the game. True, mini's may rise in price - simply means get them now.
The economic spot is not really of concern for the players. The economy changes and adapts.
I've spent ~600k filling my HoM mini's, so forgive me if the pain of 75k sounds small.
Besides which they don't want a full HoM for every player; it's supposed to be a challenge to get. It's supposed to be an achievement, not an 'everyone has it' kinda thing.

The 6th Anniversary build will be published in 2 parts. The first live build will bring all the build features except the Mutual Friends List, and we will also publish the 6th Anniversary announcement on the website at that point, with all the details of this event. A second in-game build later today will push the Mutual Friends List.
We really appreciate your patience on this and we wish you a happy 6th Anniversary!

Yay it's here.

So the amount of minis on the market will still continue to grow.
Besides, you can always buy a few more character slots (soon to be on discount...)

May I have your 'facts sheet' please so I may understand exactly what you're talking about?

No nothing elitist but assuming the majority of players play the game the way you do is at best naive.
